Mount Buller Trip
TODAY, I AM OFFICIALLY SNOW- DE- VIRGINIZED! :D
I woke up at 3.30am since we all had to be at Flinders street by 5am. Ate, got ready, making sure i had everything, called a cab and picked up Eunice and Ratna (who was staying at Eunice's house).
We arrived there kinda really early so we just waited for the rest to arrive- aiksern, nick, hui san and Mak. We finally all got on the buses at 6am and i wasnt even allowed to bring my Maccas meal inside cos of the picky driver >(. The journey took about 3-4 hours. Mostly talking to Eunice and laughing the whole way, i ddint really sleep at all...
Finally we were nearing the place...i knew it cos there was a little frost on the grass. Then later, as the bus was going up the mountain, slowwlyyy things began getting Whiter. There was like a gust of ice and we (all the asians who've NEVER seen snow) were like "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW" and the driver goes..." thats not snow" hahaha! We had a REALLY CHEEKY driver.
But WOW later on, we DID see snow, the whole place was WHITE...it was kinda weird. IT was also hard for me to grasp cos I always watched in on TV and in movies and i coudnt believe it was really snow! I was singing "im dreaming of a white christmas" the way there. A strange experience- looked like when the kid first stepped into Narnia. Trees were not green anymore, but white and Cars were all dusted with snow. Car tyres were all fitted with chains to help them get up the slope (this is when i remembered about learning this in science in BSM lol).
When we finally got out, wiht 2 layers on plus a jacket (really LITTLE), long johns, jeans , gloves adn a beanie the most surprising thing was IT WAS SNOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWINGGGGG. It hardly snowed up there so we were lucky to experience it! Not like in the cartoons with those BIG ASS boulder sized snowballs falling down Lol but small white particles falling from the sky. It was really wonderful just experiencing something you always wanted to do, and i STILL couldnt grasp it!

We all rented over-pants to wear over our jeans so we wudnt get wet adn cold down there, and boots, plus 2 "Tobonngas" (sled-like things made of plastic). We used em to go down this snow hill (everyhting was snow), REALLY fun cos you gain speed and just flow through the snow with it hitting your face! IT tastes like...water? Lol...cold water. no...that makes it ice. lol.
i took off my gloves adn BOY was it cold. I wanted to actually touch snow wiht my hands even though i swear i my hands went COMPLETELY NUMB AND PAINFUL and nearly got frost bite lol. It was so soft and fluffy like..cotton and i just scruched it up adn threw it and my mates. Soon we were all throwing at it each other- aiksern got the worst when he got hit in the face 3 times adn his glasses fell on his face or the ice got stuck in the glasses on his face so he couldnt see a thing. LOL. Owned.
I built a snow man. ITS NOT EASY! i had help, i used a snow covered rock so the others wouldnt notice it was the body. LOL
We took a bus to another place about 5 mins away. We ate pizza ccos i was starving while the others had hot choc.
It was nice just Falling FACE first into the soft snow which i did. Then just lie down there looking at all the snow on the trees. Beautiful. After that just tobongaad some more, then at 3.30 we had to leave. So Mac and I just stole the tobonngas from everyone (cos we shared 2 amongst 6 pple) and just slid down like 3-4 times consecutively. I Loved started up really high where not many pple went cos i gained so much momentum and was SO much faster and fun. Mak n I didnt wanna stop so even when we reached the bottom we reached the other hill and said LETS go down taht! haha so we went again and again and again!
Very good experience. Lots of Pinoys there too lol.
Pictures! THE BEST PART. lol...loved my cammie after not having it for 1 WHOLE PAINFUL month. lol. Wow the cold really KILLS the battery, like it takes so much energy from the camera, ipod etc that we had to keep it warm.

Then slept teh whole way back. SO TIRING. haha. AWESOME experience and just a wonderful day .Wish i could have stayed heaps longer though. Look forward to a future trip!! :D
